Good morning everyone - & here is it, the day that I hate. Yet another Fathers Day without actually seeing my own dad. Yes he is alive, & living in Germany, but still haven't seen him since 'the big fall out' years ago. And god yes I've tried. He now sends cards for birthdays , Xmas etc, & has even spoken to me on the phone a couple of times, but still refuses to let me visit him. And I know he has been over here & visited my sister because she slipped up & told me. I just don't know what I'm going to do when I get that phone call that he has passed away &it will then be too late......why he is such a stubborn old *** I will never understand.

Anyway, my point is that if you have your family/fathers, then please appreciate them today because I'd give absolutely anything to give mine a hug, anything.

Morning, is everyone having a lie in this morning. No fathers for us, ours are long gone, and we do not have any children.

It's a lovely bright sunny day here and we are about to go for a shortish walk, then back here to wash floors and more cutting back which will have to go into black bags as the bin is full.

I do hope you can get through to your dad and eventually meet up, could your sister mediate?

I glad you feel that way but I personally don't , my mother died without me ever seeing her and I feel nothing.
Anyway onto nicer things, the rain of the last 24 hours has stopped, I think I am finally beginning to feel better and my sense of smell is beginning to return.

Good day all. Sorry for anyone who's got a fractured relationship with parents...I don't know how you fix that. My ex's birthday was earlier this week, and I've no idea if lil pasta has been in touch then or today. He completely ignored her birthday last year...I know she felt hurt by it. Ah well...

It's sunny-ish here. I've got a small Amazon order due. Nail varnish and a lippy. The Lipfinity colour I've worn for years has disappeared, so I'm trying something new. Hope it's OK! Meanwhile I'm finalising a Waitrose order while the washing machine churns away.

Hope everyone had a good day? I've been at my in-laws all day/evening and have only just got home. Was a lovely day.

Would I consider going over to Germany? I said this to my sister and she said my dad would go mad! He's is Irish born & bred, and a very difficult man to apologise to. I've thought of doing this a hundred times but I also know deep down he would be really mad if I did.
