Word has it that Beyoncé is booked for six concerts at a 62,000 plus capacity London football stadium - and at £620 for a ticket hasn't sold out on one single night.

I can't say I'd pay that much to see anyone.

They will charge as much as the market is willing to pay.

Personally I've considered pop concerts ridiculously overpriced for, well more or less forever, with few exceptions, but some folk are still willing to pay a fortune for a ticket, indeed some are happy to pay multiple fortunes to a tout for one. More fool they.  They and their money are soon parted.

Totally agree naomi - I wouldn't pay that much to see anyone!

Many of the tickets were £80-100, which is still a lot. The high prices quoted often include hospitality, maybe an "exclusive" bar.

could be because........

Cant stand her voice and her constant over singing.

I thought I'd seen a headline saying she'd soldout. But it was the DM...and they fib a lot.

I know my daughter and her partner paid a fortune for Glastonbury several times...but that is a full weekend of nonstop music.

Some of these concerts must cost a fortune to put on, so extravagant.

I can't help wondering how much singing they do, I suspect most of it is lip synching.  I certainly couldn't sing whilst jumping around and gyrating

That I would pay to see, Barry.  😂

//but that is a full weekend of nonstop music.//

It's more than that ; I found a poetry tent one year.

You'd need earplugs, Naomi.  And therapy afterwards

Glastonbury costs £378 including booking fee and lasts fron Wednesday to Sunday so in one respect it's a bargain with over 100 stages, some famous and some very small

Ive seen a few acts over the years, Alice Cooper, Status Quo etc. The prices back then didnt seem as extortionate as they are today.

I wouldnt go to see Beyonce if SHE paid ME £620 to attend!!!

I would only pay top dollah if her husband was guaranteed to appear so I could bathe in the depth of his insightful interjections and ejaculations.

Hey y'all, uh, lemme tell ya, etc.

pop concerts? music ended in 1995!

Does the £620 ticket come from touts like Viagogo? I've just looked up prices on her concert tomorrow and there are plenty for less than £150. Still too much for me. If she was playing for free in the pub opposite my house I wouldn't go.

I recently saw Holly Johnson in Bath for a bargain £55. It was perfect.

I've read repeatedly that her concert tickets are not selling as they should. Nobody knows why thry are not more expensive than the norm. Once I would have said that's a laughable amount but I would now pay that and a lot more to see the band I want to see most in order to get a ticket near the stage.
