It isn’t a case of “gaslighting”. Everybody in the UK who has done even a scintilla of research (which includes all the politicians who would have you believe otherwise) knows that anybody arriving illegally into the UK stands virtually zero chance of ever being removed. All the illegal migrants know that as well.
This latest hullabaloo has arisen because a newspaper has discovered something that the authorities who are supposed to be in control of this train crash called migration should have known about as soon as it began and put a stop to it.
Now they throw their hands up in shock and horror and promise to arrest those working illegally. When they hear this the public immediately make two very sound assumptions:
Firstly it is unlikely in the extreme that many, if any, illegal migrant workers will be arrested. Secondly, even if they are, they will remain in this country, despite having broken one of the main conditions of them being allowed to remain here to claim asylum.
This is simply plain reality. The people of this country are being taken for a massive, multi-billion pound ride by foreign chancers who don’t like it where they are and would prefer to be here, delivering pizzas instead.
They will continue to enjoy that ride unless and until a government realises that the only way to put a stop to it is to physically prevent them landing here.
