.... months after being lightly scratched by a stray puppy in Morocco.

 

A warning not to pet stray animals abroad.  We've all done it - well I know I have.  Poor woman.

There's a fact I didn't know that I didn't know 

I read that! The first think my husband said to me was 'see what did I tell you!!'

Her symptoms only began two weeks ago.  She was scratched in February.

I know - I'm saying I didn't know it wasn't treatable if  a few days has passed 

I guess if you think you've been bitten or scratched by an animal abroad , you must get treatment straight away .

Thing is you might not be in a position to get treated within a few days

long incubation, a scratch.. i thought it had to be a bite ? tragic all the same.

 

Many rabid dogs on the dark continent.

Not impossible to contact rabies in the UK. Bats would be the most likely carriers

Bats - there's a mammal that makes me feel uneasy .

Just don't like to see or look at them
